Residential Project in Exposed Concrete Pigmented in Pink
Casa Rosa, designed by Polo Estudio, was constructed using reinforced concrete walls pigmented in mass, serving simultaneously as both structure and façade.
The concrete was colored using various pigments from SC Pigments to achieve a customized pink hue. Multiple on-site tests were conducted to precisely adjust the desired tone and study its behavior under different lighting conditions throughout the day.
In this project, the concrete becomes the primary aesthetic element, where the color incorporated into the mass emphasizes the building’s unique character. Formwork marks, joints, and imperfections are not concealed; on the contrary, they are celebrated as part of the project’s visual language and serve as an expression of an honest, unembellished aesthetic. The pink tone of the concrete shifts with the daylight, integrating seamlessly with the natural surroundings and adding visual richness to the overall composition.
