Pieri DRC-6 Deactivating Agent

Pieri DRC deactivating agent for precast elements. This product, applied to the mould or work table, acts by deactivating the cement that is in contact with it, so that, as it does not set, it can be removed very easily, leaving an exposed aggregate or washed finish. It works equally well on horizontal and vertical surfaces. There is a range of different attack depths to be used depending on the aggregate size.

Attack depths:

DRC 6/01 /02 /10 /25 /50 /80 /130 /200 /300/

Applications:

  • Precast concrete moulds, including those with complex vertical, horizontal or inclined shapes.
  • Visible faces of architectural elements requiring an exposed aggregate or washed surface.
  • Urban furniture
  • Elements where a decorative exposed aggregate finish is required.

Function:

The product contains setting-retarding agents that delay cement hydration only in the first few millimetres of the surface of fresh concrete. This allows that, when washed with high-pressure water once the rest of the concrete has hardened, this thin layer of cement paste is removed without affecting the structural mass. The result is a controlled exposure of the aggregate (gravel or sand), creating a granular, uniform and natural texture.

Coverage:

Between 8 and 12 m²/l.

Packaging:

Supplied in 20 l containers.
