Hotel Rec Barcelona

Concrete letters pigmented at low dosages to achieve slightly bluish tones.

In this project, Michael Roschach created the concrete letters that form the visual identity of the entrance to the Hotel Rec Barcelona, using a layered pigmentation technique.

Through a process of multiple pours of pigmented concrete, each layer was dosed to achieve subtle tonal variations. The pigment used was Cobalt Blue 750E from Serra Ciments® at very low dosages.
